HOW TO CROCHET A FLOWER

This is a simple activity to do to learn a little about crochet.

Crocheting hook-The smaller the size the smaller the flower at the end. I am using a 2.5 mm hook.

  1. Start off with a slip knot.

  2. Chain 40-60 (I usually chain 45)

  3. Slip stitch into the first loop so that there is now one loop on your hook, and there is a tiny circle with a hole in it near the top.

  4. Chain 5.

  5. Slip stitch into the hole that was just created.

  6. Chain 5.

  7. Continue this process (slip stitch into next loop, chain five, slip stitch into hole, chain five) until you are happy with the size of your product. It should slowly spiral into a lavender like- thing.

  8. You are done! If you want to make it even fancier, you can always use colour changing wool, or if you are more advanced, you can glue wire in the middle of the product to make it have a stem!
