HOW TO CROCHET A GRANNY SQUARE
This is one step more intermediate compared to crocheting a flower, so below I will also be listing a video to help.
Make a Slip knot
Chain 5
Make a circle. To do this make a slip stitch into the first chain that you crocheted.
Double crochet 2 times into the hole of the circle that was just made.
Chain 2
Double crochet 2 times into the hole of the circle that was just made.
Chain 2
Double crochet 2 times into the hole of the circle that was just made.
Chain 2
Double crochet 2 times into the hole of the circle that was just
made.

You can notice that now you have almost crocheted a square-like thing. To finish this first round, you must slip stitch into the top stitch, which is one of the first stitches you crocheted.
Chain 3, as this is the beginning of a new round
Double crochet into next square, the top left corner 3 times
Chain 3, as this is going to become a corner.
Double crochet into the same square 3 times
Chain 1
Double crochet into the next square 3 times
Chain 3
20. Double crochet into the same square 3 times
21. Chain 1
22. Double crochet into the next square 3 times
23. Chain 3
24. Double crochet into the same square 3 times
25. Chain 1
26. Double crochet into the next square 3 times
27. Chain 3
28. Double crochet into the next square 3 times
29. Join it in the same way you joined on your square in step 12.
30. Repeat from step 13 until you are happy with the size of the
granny square.
31. Cut off the excess string, and you are done!
